Most leadership teams know the strategy. And teams have smart, capable people with lots of potential.
The harder question is why disciplined execution across functions, cultures and borders remains so difficult? And what it actually takes to close that gap?
That's the work we do at Lead it Forward.
Enterprise and regional leadership teams carry a particular kind of responsibility. They sit at the intersection of strategy and execution — translating direction into action across functions, cultures and geographies. The decisions they make, and the way they make them, shape not just business outcomes but the experience of every person who counts on them to get it right.
That is the level we work at. And where appropriate, that work extends to Executive Committees.
We design and guide structured development — adaptive enough to respond to what actually emerges. This is not a workshop series. It is a sustained architecture built around your team's mandate, culture and strategic context.
Senior-level alignment from the start
Cross-cultural and leadership assessment
Deep leadership team sessions
Decision patterns and interaction quality
Embedded into leadership rhythm
At enterprise level, performance is defined by the quality of decisions — how quickly they are made, how clearly they are owned, and how consistently they translate into action.
We help leadership teams improve the conditions that make good decisions possible.
Better collaboration is not the goal. Better decisions are. The collaboration is what makes them possible.
Faster, sharper decision-making
Ownership that holds across functions
Less cross-functional drag
Consistency across regions
Composure under pressure

International teams rarely struggle because of strategy. They struggle because of invisible assumptions, unspoken expectations and cultural blind spots no one has made explicit.
Part of our work is bringing those dynamics into the open — creating the conditions where cultural diversity becomes a genuine strategic advantage rather than a source of friction.
We help teams make cultural dynamics explicit, align on shared standards without erasing local nuance, and build the kind of trust across geographies that makes execution actually possible.
Because when leadership teams work well across cultures, it's not just execution that improves — it's the experience of the people inside the organisation.
Make cultural patterns explicit and visible
Shared norms without erasing local nuance
Cross-geography trust that makes execution possible
Senior effectiveness is about the capacity to hold complexity without oversimplifying, navigate ambiguity without losing direction, and move toward systemic leadership.
We integrate vertical development principles throughout — helping leaders expand their capacity at the moments that matter most.
Leadership maturity is the foundation of enterprise resilience.

Where it strengthens the collective, individual coaching is embedded within the broader team architecture. Individual growth in service of shared performance — not the other way around.
Our work spans international organisations — and while the sectors vary, the behavioural patterns are remarkably consistent:
Teams work harder rather than come together — investing effort in execution while avoiding the alignment conversation that would make execution easier.
Diversity goes underleveraged because the conditions for genuine collaboration haven't been built.
Conflict gets managed away rather than managed well — when in well-functioning teams, it's a creative force.
We are particularly well established in global technology, consumer heath and Hygiene, the chemical industry and consumer packaged goods, where these dynamics play out at scale and pace. Well positioned to develop, roll-out High Performance Team Development processes across senior teams in regions and/or functions.
We develop Leadership Teams to be at their best. Every engagement is personally designed and guided by Bas Bredenoord, founder of Lead it Forward — built around your team’s specific mandate, rooted in experience in guiding team dynamics.
What makes this work different from a standard programme is the integration. Strategy, behaviour, governance and culture are treated as interconnected — because they are. The structure provides confidence to senior decision-makers; the work inside stays responsive to what actually emerges. Minimal structure. Maximal relevance.
Engagements are typically multi-month, personally designed and guided throughout. The objective is measurable improvement in collective leadership effectiveness — not just stronger relationships, but stronger outcomes.
Mandate alignment
The patterns, dynamics and underlying drivers
Governance improvement
Collaboration across borders
Into your leadership cadence
Selective engagement in senior People & Organisation roles or targeted advisory assignments, delivered personally or in close collaboration with trusted partners.
This strand of our work is reserved for organisations facing a specific strategic inflection — where an experienced external perspective, integrated at close range, can make a material difference.
Bas Bredenoord - Founder
I've spent more than two decades working with international leadership teams — across technology, personal hygiene and health, FMCG and veterinary care — in environments where the gap between strategy and execution is wide, the cultural complexity is real, and the pressure to perform is constant.
What I've learned is that most strategic challenges are not primarily analytical. They are behavioural. The strategy is usually clear enough. What's harder is building the leadership conditions that allow it to be executed with discipline, at pace, across a complex organisation. Not just in a Team session. It's what happens on a Tuesday afternoon.
That is what my work focuses on:

Lead it Forward is intentionally small. I personally design and guide every engagement — there is no team of consultants behind me, and no junior delivery. What you see is what you get.
That is a deliberate choice. The kind of work I do requires genuine partnership, sustained presence and a level of trust that only develops over time. For the right organisations, that is a significant advantage.
"The reason I started Lead it Forward - Leadership Team Dynamics, is straightforward: leadership teams set the context for everyone around them. When they lead well — with clarity, with accountability, with genuine care for the people they're responsible for — they create the conditions for others to be at their best. That impact ripples further than most leaders realise. It's what makes this work matter beyond the business case.
Enterprise leadership requires mature partnership. I'm here for the long game."
